　　提高口语
　　一定要讲得一口流利的英语, 要在九月份提高自己的发音水平, 建议:
　　1.下载李阳的疯狂英语, 或者走遍美国.
　　2. 一遍遍的听, 听的时候不要看教材. 听不懂再去偷看.
　　3. 像鹦鹉一样的模仿, 如果mp3里的发音和你老师不一样, 你的老师发音错误.
　　4. 不怕难为情, 含羞算安迪. 大声朗读出来, 每天从下面这句话开始一天的生活: I"m the best, yes, of course, I can speak english! 再也不说 My English is very poor! 之类的中国式英语.
　　5. 在模仿的时候不仅要模仿人家的语音更重要的还有语调, 你最好的中国老师都比不了磁带里的发音, 所以要每天听这些磁带, 听了自己要复述出来.
　　6. 对着你家乡的湖泊, 江河, 大山, 公园大声去和它们说英语, 大自然会听懂你的发言! 把自己融入到大自然, 你马上会觉得英语是多么渺小.

　　7. 最好今天就模仿学习一篇课文, 找到感觉.
　　8. 在现实生活中的英语角, 或者虚拟的QQ, msn, skype上多多结交英语高手, 努力和英语水平超高的同学交谈. 虚心拜他们为师, 低下我们高贵的头颅!
　　9. 在学习课文的时候要明白每一单词的意思, 尽量知道语法结构. 然后自己朗诵课文, 一定要把它读出声音来.
　　10.漂亮的发音来自你的苦练, 想想相声小品演员是怎么苦练的, 这点, 我们应该向相声小品演员学习.

　　Steve: Hi Mike. Have you met the new hire in the Business Development Department?
　　Mike. No, I haven"t had the pleasure yet.

　　Mike. Steve! That"s not like you at all to say nasty things about a colleague.
　　Steve. Well just wait to you meet him. I think he is a real pig.
　　Mike. Why do you have that impression?

　　Steve: He is rude, unfriendly and too pushy.
　　Mike: Maybe he is just suffering from culture shock being in a new company.
　　Steve: Well he needs to learn the culture of this office pretty quickly or he will make lots of enemies.
　　Mike: It"s up to us to help him make friends then!

　　●解释:
　　* new hire: a new member of staff, 新雇员, 如:
　　I always try to ask new hires to lunch on their first day to make them feel more relaxed.

　　(我总是尽量在新员工上班的第一天邀请他们一起吃午餐，这样他们就会更放松易一些。)
　　hire还可以做动词,如:
　　We"d better hire a computer for our May Day.
　　(我们最好为我们的五一劳动节租一台电脑)
　　* department: 部门, 一般公司里的部门都可以用这个词.

　　* pleasure: 快乐, 高兴, 如:
　　1. It"s my pleasure to meet you. (认识你真高兴.), 聊天的时候你马上可以用了.
　　2. The great pingpong game between China and South Korea will be a pleasure to watch. (观看中韩乒乓比赛将会是种乐趣.)
　　* trust me: 相信我, 等于believe me.
　　* nasty: mean, unfriendly. 刻薄, 不友好, 有时候指的是调皮, 如:
　　When I was younger there was a nasty dog next door that always barked at me in the mornings.

　　(我小的时候邻家有一条讨厌的狗，早晨它总是冲着我叫.)
　　* colleague: 同事, 美国也叫co-worker
　　* pig: 猪. 西方骂人猪和我们中文一样, 但是pig it, 表示大家挤在一起生活, 特别是住房紧张的家庭可以用. pig out: 像猪一样大吃大喝.安迪喜欢你好好珍惜自己的身体, 不要经常pig out. 还有一个To live in a piglike fashion, 你能想象像猪一样的生活是一种什么样的生活, I really wish you live like a soldier.
　　* Impression: your view of someone"s character. 印象，你对别人的看法. eg:
　　There is an old saying that you can only make one first impression. People will often judge you by their first impression of you.(有一句老话这样说，第一印象只能有一次，人们总是根据他们对你的第一印象来评价你。), 做任何生意或者面试, 前面5分钟的impression非常重要.

　　* Pushy: too aggressive,很好斗的、好胜的, 热心过度的.
　　When I went to buy a new TV that sales guy was so pushy that I just left the store.
　　(我去买新电视的时候那个男售货员热心过度，近乎粗鲁，我气得离开了商店。)
　　* suffer from: 遭受痛苦, 如:
　　He suffers too much from his diabetes. (他遭受太多糖尿病的苦了.)

　　* culture shock: 文化冲突, 文化冲击.每个国家或者公司都有自己不同的文化.
　　* pretty: 这里是"很, 非常"的意思, 做副词.
　　* up to: 取决于, 如up to you(你定吧.)
　　* make: 是一个非常重要的动词, 安迪把一些常用的列在下面: make dinner(做晚餐), make bed(铺床), make up(化妆), make a call(打电话), make friends(交朋友), make fun of(嘲笑), 当然还有make love, 什么意思? 自己查.
　　●作业:

　　1. He is a new hire in our company.
　　2. I don"t know what department he works in.
　　3. Can you teach me about what clothes I should wear to the office?
　　4. Nobody likes my boss because she"s so nasty most of the time.
　　5. He is so pushy that I really can"t stand.
