Steve: You haven’t moved from your desk for about five hours,Mike.
　　Mike: Tell me about it! I have two submissions due by 4PM today and I am way behind.
　　Steve: I know that the reports are vital, but so is your health.

　　Mike: My health is fine - I haven’t had the flu at all this year.
　　Steve: But what about your eyes and hands?

　　Steve: The HR department says that we should take a break for five minutes every hour to rest our eyes from staring at the computer and our hands from typing.

　　* move: 移动, 如: Would you please move a little bit? (你移过去点好吗?)
　　有时候我们在下棋的时候说"该轮到你了", 你可以这么说"your move, please.
　　"don’t move!" 等于"freezing", 就是"不许动", 以前有一个日本高中学生在美国读书, 在鬼节的时候闯进人家的家里, 那家主人大喊一声freezing!, 结果他以为糖果在冰箱里, 就往里面跑, 结果主人拿出枪, 那日本孩子就倒在血泊中, 再也没有起来. 这是一个真实的故事, 大家从这里也要吸取血的教训, 特别是马上要出国的同学, 也许美国人讲的英语和你中学时候学的太不一样了, 特别是口语, 所以, 出去前, 最好能够培训口语.

　　* tell me about it! 等于what should I do? 是非常地道的口语, 大家马上掌握.
　　* submission: 本来是投降, 屈服这样的意思, 这里报告的意思, 来自submit, 递交.
　　* due by: 到...钟点. due to 用得最多, 有因为的意思. 如: His pc can’t work due to some errors.(他的电脑因为一些错误不能运行了.)
　　* PM:下午, AM:上午
　　* way behind: 落后, 远远拖后.
　　* vital: very important, 非常重要, 以后看见这个单词就是致命一样的重要, V开头的词往往和视觉, 生命, 胜利有关系.
　　* so is your health: 注意倒装形式, 另外还有so do I.

　　* they feel fine: 人体所有器官的感受都可以用主动形式.
　　* eyes and hands: 人体器官成双作对的要用复数. 头部的一些词汇和四肢, 像中文一样, 有很多成语, 要平时积累.
　　* HR: human resource: 人力资源, 现在许多大公司都有这个部门. 做一个最优秀的人才, 希望你的档案永远在公司的human resource
　　department前10名, 有没有信心?
　　* take a break: 休息一会,另外相关的短语还有, take a rest (休息会), coffee break(咖啡休息时间), give me a break(饶了我吧)
　　* stare at: 盯. 如: Please don’t stare at me like this, you make me nervous.(请别这样盯着看我, 你让我局促不安. )

　　* listen up: 听着, 多数情况下可以用"listen" 就可以了.
　　* lecture: 名词形式的词做动词, 另外的词bicycle "骑车", water"浇水". ink“签订合同”等等。名词做动词, 让语言更加生动, 简练.
　　* OH&S: Occupational Health & Safety:职业健康与安全. 现在在一些发达国家, 越来越注重职工的健康和安全. 如果咱们国家也关心职工也关心自己一样, 多多普及OH&S, 那么像矿难这样的灾难就会减少许多了.
